May River Manor is an exclusively adult-oriented property, welcoming guests aged 16 and older when accompanied by an adult with a confirmed lodging reservation. This policy also applies to local residents visiting our property. However, we are open to considering exceptions for group bookings associated with celebratory events. Please feel free to inquire about such arrangements, and we will do our best to accommodate your specific needs.
While we love pets, we cannot accommodate them at the Manor. Please inquire with Guest Services for boarding assistance! Only service animals as defined under the ADA are permitted and must be under the owner’s control at all times. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA, and we do not allow these on-premises.
As a smoke-free property, we strictly prohibit smoking, including the use of cigarettes, cigars, and vaping, within the rooms, on room balconies or patios. Any violation of this policy will result in a $500 cleaning fee being applied to your bill, and no exceptions will be granted.
Smoking may only be permitted within our designated outdoor pool area. We kindly request that you dispose of any unused smoking materials exclusively in the outdoor smoker's bin for the safety of our property and its natural surroundings. Please refrain from discarding them on the grass or in the gardens. Your cooperation in maintaining our smoke-free environment is greatly appreciated.

At May River Manor, we truly value each guest’s reservation and aim to provide the best experience possible. If you find it necessary to modify or cancel your reservation, please keep the following policies in mind:
Payments: At time of reservation, a one night deposit or 50% deposit for stays spanning multiple nights is charged to the provided card. If booking 14 days or less prior to arrival, the total amount will be collected including items and taxes. Balances are charged automatically to the card on file 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
Cancellations: Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival are subject to a $50 per room and per day fee deducted from the initial deposit.
For reservations canceled 30-15 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will transfer your deposit, less a $50 per room and per day cancellation fee, to a gift certificate valid for one year.
Late Cancellations: For reservations canceled 15 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will still be responsible for all charges unless we fully rebook your stay. If we can rebook your stay we will issue a gift certificate less the cancellation fee of $50 per room and day.
Shortened Stays: If you decide to shorten your stay within 14 days of your planned arrival, you will still be responsible for all charges based on the originally reserved rate for all canceled nights.
Third-party Booking Websites: If you made your reservation through a third-party website, the reservation is nonrefundable/non-changeable.
Group Bookings: Any cancellations for Buy Outs of all our 5 rooms (whether made in 1 transaction or 5 separate transactions) must be made 45 days prior to arrival and are subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the total booking. Please note that our cancellation and modification policies may vary for group reservations, depending on the length of stay and the nature of the event. Feel free to reach out to us directly for more information on our group reservation policies.
Cancellations on any promotions will transfer to a Gift Certificate valid for a year from issuance. No refunds on promotions. Promotions only apply to new bookings and will not apply to Gift Certificates issued prior to the start of promotion.
Please note that while gift certificates may be applied to a new booking, the rates may change and there may be a balance due. We will transfer bookings to a gift certificate for a maximum of 2 times after which it is subject to 100% penalty including tax.
We understand that unexpected emergencies can arise, potentially affecting your reservation. For added peace of mind, we recommend considering the purchase of trip insurance. We suggest exploring options such as Allianz Travel Insurance or Travelinsurance.com to help safeguard your plans.
You may be held responsible for any missing or damaged items, and be required to pay for their repairs or replacement. This is at the discretion of the inn manager and will be charged to your credit card with advance notice.
Onsite parking is complimentary, for one car per room. We do offer electric charging stations for overnight guests only. We are not responsible for your car and its contents.
